“Everything that is real was imagined first" ~ The Velveteen Rabbit
Velveteen Rabbit is about a toy rabbit who becomes real… but how did it happen?
The Velveteen Rabbit is a story that has captured hearts for over a century, exploring complex themes of love and loss in a way that children can connect with.
Born in a Taxi, with over 30 years’ of experience in live theatre and their uniquely creative lens, have reimagined the telling of this heartfelt story, placing the audience at the centre of the narrative.
By combining audience participation, music, live projections, puppetry, and song, Born in a Taxi have created a child-centric, interactive, and multilayered work that challenges theatrical norms.
The audience is invited to bring their favourite toy, and together they join the cast in unravelling this beautiful tale.
