Residents of all ages can venture into their front yards to interact or just sit back and soak up the vibe. Events feature responsive performances, whole street dance routines, and all manner of games and challenges, including front-garden sculpture, cubby competitions.
Created in collaboration with Maidstone Community Centre, Front Yard Frolics was designed during the first COVID lockdown to encourage families to venture into their front yards and interact safely to ease the anxiety that people might be feeling about the outside world being a dangerous place.
Participants could join Front Yard Frolics Facebook Group to keep in touch with the fun and continue beyond, leaving a legacy of great connection with the neighbours and community.
